Spirits of Saorsa is a game I worked on with a team of other artists, designers, producers and programmers. It follows a wisp's journey through the afterlife and takes Celtic and Scottish mythological inspirations. I produced all environment art for the game according to the narrative.
My main aim with the environment was to create a setting that, while being reminiscent of reality, felt like another plane of existence, like everything was just slightly off. This is why I took a more stylised approach, light, floaty and painterly like a dream in order to fit the narrative. The style is also geometric to emulate Celtic symbols.
